Motorcycle Overview

Post-war, Cushman produced its most successful machine ever: The Cushman Eagle. The idea was to use design cues from the bigger bikes and put them into a smaller format. With its sweeping fenders and teardrop gas tank, oversized handlebars, and 318cc side valve flathead motor sitting on a welded tubular steel frame. The Cushman Eagle sales were light at the start of production, but soon became very popular across a wide demographic of buyers. The Cushmans drivetrain consisted of a centrifugal clutch coupled with a 2-speed transmission, allowing the bike to reach speeds of up to 50 mph. The Cushman Eagle also had numerous other features such as an electric starter, passenger seat, saddlebags, turn signals, dual mirrors, and a windshield. Offered here is a 1950s-era Cushman eagle with an older professional restoration using original Cushman parts. CONDITION: Chrome shows minor oxidation from sitting paint and has minor scuffs and imperfections from storage. Seat leather is still soft but could use some conditioning, inside cushion still appears to be soft, and the buddy seat condition is comparable to the drivers seat. The period-correct Buco saddlebags are still in great condition with no serious cracking, but showing some minor scuffs and rubs from being moved around in storage. The period-correct Coker tires show minor oxidation, but do hold air. Scooter roles freely. Sold as-is with no warranty.
