Motorcycle Overview
1970 Triumph Bonneville T120R
VIN: CD44081
10,450 Original Miles!
Triumph set the tone for the entire British motorcycle industry when it debuted its vertical twin design in 1939, a design which was quickly adopted by its rival manufacturers. In turn, the most famous of Triumph's offerings was its Bonneville of the 60's and 70's, featuring dual carburetors, a 4 speed transmission, and double leading shoe front brakes.
The high water mark for the Bonneville, and the most sought after by collectors, are the 1969 and 1970 models. The example shown here is a meticulously restored and fully operational 1970 Bonneville, complete in its original burgundy and silver hues and with an upgraded Boyer electronic ignition. It was purchased by the current owner in 2007 with only 9,758 original miles showing on the speedometer, and was carefully maintained and sparingly ridden less than 800 miles over the next 15 years before being pickled and put into storage in 2022. (All maintenance and repair documents furnished with sale.)
