1985 BMW R80G/S

This 1985 R80GS came to us from a collector down south. The bike sat with us for a couple years in heated storage and we finally got it out and on the lift for a refresh.

We wanted to do something a little different with this one and have deemed it the Wheels In The Field R80GS that was specially built for our annual BMW Only GS event hosted in Chester, VT.

We went a set of Bridgestone AX-41 knobby tires which we have tested over the last couple of years and really prefer them for adventure riding on the GS bikes.

Stainless steel brake lines were installed along with a new master cylinder, new choke cables, throttle cables, and clutch cable.

Engine wise the bike got a top end resealwith new exhaust and intake values, Siebenrock 1000cc power kit, new connecting rod bolts and more.

Front forks were rebuilt with new springs, fresh oil and racetech gold valve suspension kit. An Ohlins shock was fitted on the rear of the bike.

Acerbis Baja rear fender and Acerbis NSOT front fender installed to give it that vintage enduro look along with some short turn signals and Acerbis Rally Pro handguards.

Final drive was resealed and a new hall sender unit was also installed. New grips. New plugs. New ignition coils. New rubber grips. And much more!
