Motorcycle Overview
1990 Kawasaki Concours. Retiring now.. need to say goodbye to the bike. Bike sat, covered, in my garage for 19 years. Will need carb work to get back on the road but the bike is in excellent condition (see photos). Bike comes with a tank and fairing bra, Corbin seat with backrest, Rifle fairing, perfect saddle bags, all keys and title. Asking minimum of $500 OR the highest offer above $500 received on or before March 11. CASH!! Retiring and the motorcycle MUST be gone due to selling/closing of the house that weekend. Bike parts alone worth well over $500! Located right near Washington Dulles airport in northern Virginia (outside Wash DC).
Just want to share how much joy riding this bike was for me over the years. Rode the Blue Ridge Parkway, Outer Banks, New Orleans, Atlanta, Texas Hill Country, Kentucky mountains, upstate New York, Montreal, Toronto, up and down Vermont and New Hampshire... She took me on many adventures in all sorts of weather. As one could imagine, when you're working and traveling for your job, you just don't get a lot of time for personal pleasures so a solo roadtrip every few years was a sweet indulgence. This bike is a MUCH better 'rider' than I was. I'll never forget driving down to Atlanta through Myrtle Beach one time late at night and tired as heck... I was doing about 75/80 as I entered ATL city limits and approached a sharp highway interchange that was probably posted at 40... I immediately woke up (smile) and was going to throw down the bike so I didn't wrap myself into the guardrail and when I prepared to lay it down, the bike just took that turn like it was no big deal. Needless to say, I had a new found respect for what this Concours could do and when my heart stopped beating out of my chest, I was awake for the rest of that drive!! Yes.. now she deserves a good home with TLC if possible...
