Motorcycle Overview
The Fat Boy is a V-twin Softail cruiser with solid disc wheels that was designed by Willie G. and Louie Nets for Harley Davidson. Prototypes were released at Daytona Bike Week in both 1988 and 1989 and it was finally put into production and released as a 1990 model. The name is derived from the fact that it is wider than most bikes when viewed head on. In 2000 a new 88 Twin Cam engine was used which required some minor changes to be made to the frame. In 2002 bullet style indicators were added. For Fat Boys 15th Anniversary Harley used the counterbalanced Twin Cam 88B in 2005. This particular example was optioned in Glacier White Pearl and has been upgraded with a Stage I billet air cleaner and it sounds just plain nasty ripping through its Vance & Hines Big Shots staggered exhaust. Other upgrades include the 14 ape hangers, a passenger backrest with luggage rack and nice list of chrome upgrades which include the levers, switch housings, switches, grips and a rear fender tip. It was serviced within the last 3,000 miles at which time it received a new rear tires and brakes and we just had a new front tire installed and everything works as it should. There are over a couple of thousand dollars worth of options on this beauty yet we have priced her as if she were bone stock so if you like what you see we suggest that you reach out before someone beats you to it!
