2014 Harley-Davidson Sportster

The 2014 Harley-Davidson Sportster SuperLow 1200T motorcycle is a new Sportster motorcycle that packs full-on touring capability into a low riding, easy handling Sportster frame. The seat is low and there are mid-mount foot controls for a riding positing thats easy to handle through twisting mountain roads and easy to handle at stoplights. Light, nimble and maneuverable with premium custom details front to back, big touring features are the SuperLow 1200T motorcycles calling cards. You get lockable saddlebags and a quick release 14 windshield. The windshield and mini footboards keep you comfortable on long rides. The SuperLow is powered by a muscular 1200cc Evolution V-twin motor, which means plenty of power for long rides at freeway speeds. A narrow nose two-up seat puts the ground in easy reach of your feet. New brake system technology includes optional ABS.

• Teardrop Fuel Tank

The 4.5-gallon teardrop fuel tank on the SuperLow 1200T model means youve got plenty of gas for those long stretches between towns. But a Harley-Davidson gas tank has to do more than just hold gas. This is a gas tank designed the way only Harley can do it. With classic lines, a smooth curve around the bottom edge instead of a cheap-looking metal ridge, and mounted to leave a good amount of room to showcase the engine.

The new SuperLow 1200T model is built for long miles on the highway, but it strips down quickly for a cleaner look. Or when you just want to feel a little more wind.

• Pure Harley-Davidson Styling

Feast your eyes on the 1200cc Evolution engine and theres no mistaking its roots. This is authentic Harley-Davidson style through and through with an attention to detail you wont find from any other motorcycle company. Chrome and wrinkle black cylinders topped off by chrome cylinder heads and chrome rocker covers, while chrome pushrods highlight the iconic V-Twin. Its a jewel machined out of metal. Pure. • Foundation Brake System

Like riding itself, you can never go too far when it comes to improving a bikes brakes. This is why for 2014 we gave the brake system of each Sportster model a complete overhaul designed to improve performance, fit and finish. We increased the size of the brake rotors from 292mm to 300mm, and added a more powerful, stylized front caliper with 34mm pistons, and stylized rear caliper to match. Other system features include an improved all-aluminium integrated rear master cylinder with reservoir, new all-aluminium front master cylinder with reduced friction and higher efficiency, and stainless steel braided lines. It all adds up to more confidence on the road, and more power and predictability when you squeeze the brakes.

• New Wrinkle Black Console with Speedometer, Tach and Gear Indicator

Even though none of us would want to admit it, from time to time, weve all had to kick our shift lever back down to 1 to figure out what gear we were in. The SuperLow 1200T model gives you a speedometer with a gear indicator readout and a tachometer that can be activated by your trip switch. Now youve got all the information you need to keep it in the power band at the touch of a finger.
