The Ninja 1000 ABS motorcycle thrills for miles with a 1,043cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder engine that provides silky-smooth, linear power that can howl at high rpm. Selectable power modes allow you to dial back the power to about 70% of full power- with a milder response-to suit your riding situation, and combines with Kawasaki Traction Control for a wide range of riding characteristics.
- Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC)
This advanced traction control system features three different modes to fit rider preference and road conditions. Combining the best from the S-KTRC of the Ninja ZX™-10R with the KTRC settings from the Concours®14, the Ninja 1000 ABS’s KTRC offers a wide range of electronic support.
Freeway bumps and twisty canyons place very different demands on suspension, yet the Ninja 1000 ABS is a comfortable, sporty motorcycle that provides a supportive ride in both situations. A fully-adjustable 41mm inverted fork has stepless compression and rebound damping to keep the front wheel planted in turns and over bumps. In the rear, horizontal back-link rear suspension features a remote preload adjuster to facilitate quick changes for when you add a passenger or luggage to your ride.
Even with liter-class power and such a radical appearance, the Ninja 1000 ABS offers a pleasantly comfortable ride. An upright riding position is complemented by higher-mounted handlebars. Also, the rubber-topped pegs are lower, making the Ninja 1000 ABS a comfortable sportbike you can spend the day aboard enjoyably.
The windscreen of the 2015 Ninja 1000 ABS has three easily adjustable positions to choose from so you can fine tune your wind-protection easily - no tools required.
