2016 Ducati Diavel XDiavel S

Hi,

- More bougie mods than the average Redditor's mind can comprehend (I have EVERY stock part I ever pulled off and they come with the bike.)

I'm not going to take up description real estate with a copy/paste of all the specs. If you're here, you already know them, or can easily search them up, in short, this bike is no bullshit. Faster than 98% of what's on the street, which is just wild for a cruiser. 1262cc engine producing 93 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm, and 152 hp at 9500 rpm. Just silly.

A relatively exhaustive list of all the mods. Not complete, but pretty close, starting with the two that absolutely revolutionize the way the XDiavel looks, feels, rides, and performs:

AELLA Aluminum Variable Handlebars:
- The XDiavel's handlebars are oddly far forward, not the most comfortable position for riders. The AELLA handlebars significantly improves the comfort by reducing strain on your shoulders, thus having the riding feel more natural with the signature XDiavel forward controls. After you drive her home, fine-tune the handlebars for YOUR optimal position. Dramatically makes control / handling in urban areas and U-turns much easier.

Ohlins Rear Shock (INSTALLED 26 OCT 2023):
- DU 726 Street S46 Shock (Öhlins STX 46)
- When I decided to do a major suspension upgrade on her, I went Ohlins. The DU726 features a large 46mm main piston, an external gas reservoir, and a manual preload adjuster. With adjustable compression and rebound damping, you can change the behavior of the shock to suit your taste. The external reservoir ensures the shock has more oil, keeping it cooler in extreme conditions and allowing for additional adjustability. I have the box and the preload adjuster tool that will allow you to make preload changes to accommodate weight variations.

As for the rest of the mods, some are for aesthetic, some for performance/weight loss, but all are absolutely (and totally) necessary. Right? Right. Not that anyone needs all of these for their XDiavel, but once you get locked into a serious mod addiction, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

TANK PAINT JOB (2023):
- SELLERS NOTE: So, ngl, this didn't turn out they way I envisioned it would.

What I was going for: all matte black with the 1977-1985 Ducati logo designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro in gloss, along with the Ducati Tricolore accent in gloss.

What I got: well, just that. However, the entire paint process was unfortunately accompanied with the painter having horrendous (see: non-existent) communication and just went with what they probably thought I wanted. Because, you know, along with being a motorcycle tank painter they're also a mind reader.

To be fair, many people like it, and I guess that's cool. It just wasn't what I had in mind.
