2019 Yamaha YZ450F

The YZ450F is Yamaha's flagship motocross bike. The YZ450F was all-new in 2018 with a completely revised fuel-injected, titanium-valved engine, updated suspension components, a redesigned frame, different bodywork, and the addition of electric starting. Yamaha also put Wi-Fi on the bike, giving owners the freedom to adjust the fuel and ignition timing with their smartphones using the free-to-download Power Tuner app.

This bike has been through our service department and passed an 89 pt. reconditioning & inspection process. Some of the points include a oil & filter change, flush and bleed of all brake/clutch fluids, inspection of all wear items, an electrical & charging system test, safety & lighting check, adjustment of controls, torque check of major fasteners, a diagnostic check with a scanner, and of course a test ride to check for proper operation of the bike. Our techs also replaced fork seals and fluid, mounted a new rear tire and tube, replaced the spark plug, serviced the steering bearings and air filter.

For 2019, the YZ450F has received a number of minor revisions. The changes include stiffer compression damping on the Kayaba fork and shock while retaining the same spring rates as the 2018 model, new front and rear axle wheel collars boasting increased rigidity, new seat foam that is said to be 16-percent stiffer than that of the 2018 model, and a 49-tooth (one tooth larger) rear sprocket. The electric starter was also updated in an effort to reduce drag and power loss.
