2021 KTM 890 Adventure R, low mileage, excellent condition
For sale is my KTM 890 Adventure R with 3,990 miles on the clock. The vast majority of the miles have been easy highway riding, with a little trail riding in various PA state parks. The bike has been well looked after with regular servicing and is in excellent condition. The bike also includes a number of excellent upgrades:
- KTM Tech package which includes various features:
- Rally Mode: Allows for highly aggressive throttle response and gives you on-the-fly, adjustability for the Traction Control (MTC). It also allows you to fine-tune the amount of rear-wheel slip to your liking
- Quickshifter+: Allows for seamless, clutchless upshifts and downshifts without letting off the throttle
- Motor Slip Regulation (MSR): Works opposite to the slipper clutch by briefly opening the throttle slightly to prevent rear-wheel lockups or skidding during aggressive downshifts
- KTM grip warmers that make cold day riding that much more enjoyable
- Seat Concepts seat which provides significantly improved comfort than stock KTM seat
- Cyclops Hi Visibility LED lights - sidelights in front and rear, plus additional daytime running lights and nighttime lights on front

2021 KTM 890 ADVENTURE R HIGHLIGHTS

Extremely powerful, torquey parallel twin 889 cc DOHC engine with electronic fuel injection, dual balancer shafts, PASC slipper clutch and Ride-by-Wire for a smoother and more refined response.
Specifically tuned for Adventure riding, the engine features an increased bore and stroke, higher compression ratio, larger valves and a new piston design coupled with new connecting rods and a new crankshaft, all wrapped in new engine cases.
New crankshaft with 20% more rotating mass for improved engine character at constant speed and improved cornering stability due to its gyroscopic effect.
New sensors specifically developed for KTM by DELLORTO in each throttle body to measure the manifold pressure and adjust the mixture accordingly, allowing individual mapping control per cylinder.
New forged box piston features a 10 gram weight reduction despite larger bore, three piston rings and a bronze conrod bearing to support the increased power.
New cylinder head developed to accommodate a set of larger 37 mm intake and 30 mm exhaust valves, a new camshaft with increased lift and a new balancer shaft to match the increased rotating mass.
Two oil jets compared to one per piston and a larger oil cooler work to reduce friction losses for increased efficiency and provide optimal cooling in extreme conditions.
Faster gear changes have been achieved through shorter shift lever action. This is combined with new settings for the optional Quickshifter+ to improve clutchless up and down shifting action.
Ultralight tubular Chromium Molybdenum steel frame has been upgraded with a new aluminum steering head tube and a lighter subframe for 2021.
Fully adjustable WP XPLOR 48 mm fork with new settings is the absolute best suspension currently offered on any adventure bike. Originally developed for Enduro riding, it is fitted with a spring on both sides and features separated damping functions for each fork leg for outstanding response and damping characteristics.
The WP XPLOR PDS rear shock uses KTMs trademark progressive damping system which allows progressive damping without using a linkage for reduced weight and maintenance.
Spoked wheels with a 21 front and an 18 rear now feature new anodized hubs, providing a durable finish to withstand some serious abuse, while Continental TKC 80 tires deliver traction when it counts.
Slim platform with a low-slung fuel tank to lower the center of gravity and allow the rider freedom of movement.
Twin 320 mm front brake discs with 4 piston radially mounted calipers, updated Cornering ABS and Offroad ABS allow for an ideal mix of control and stopping power. New front master cylinder and rear caliper internals provide better feeling, control and heat stability.
Rider aids include Street, Offroad, Rain and optional Rally ride modes, Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC), Motor Slip Regulation (MSR), KTM MY RIDE to connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth and the optional Quickshifter+ for clutchless up and down shifts. Heated grips, heated seat and cruise control are also optional.
LED headlight and taillight for great illumination and visibility.
Multifunctional dashboard with full-color TFT display is bright and clear. The display's configuration is variable and automatically adapts to variations in environmental light.
Steering damper fitted as standard and setup to feel as natural as possible, giving the rider a secure feeling while keeping the offroad character of the bike.
Tapered aluminum handlebar can be mounted in 6 positions on the triple clamp resulting in 30 mm of adjustability.
