The new 2022 Zuma 125 is equipped with Yamaha?s Blue Core 125cc liquid-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine delivering excellent fuel efficiency and significant power for its compact size using a SOHC 4-valve head with 11.2:1 compression ratio a DiASil cylinder and an aluminum alloy forged piston. The Zuma 125?s engine features Yamaha?s Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology changing valve timing at different rpm for linear acceleration strong torque at lower speeds and power that lasts into the top-end. Power is delivered through the fully automatic V-belt transmission with a centrifugal clutch to provide easy twist-the-throttle-and-go operation with great off-the-line acceleration. Ergonomically it?s comfortable. The handlebars are upright and wide and the seat is relatively low (807 mm / 31.7 in) allowing for a natural riding position that works for commuting weekend rides or longer stints.
