The result: a cruiser full of character featuring a boxer engine with the highest cubic capacity we have ever built, plus timeless design features.

Engine and Performance:

The Big Boxer: Uses an 1,802cc two-cylinder boxer engine producing 91 horsepower at 4,750 rpm and 116 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm.
Low-End Power: Delivers ample torque from as low as 2,000 rpm, minimizing the need to downshift on the highway.
Transmission: Features a constant-mesh 6-speed transmission paired with an iconic open, nickel-plated driveshaft.

Classic Design:

Heritage Styling: Draws design cues from vintage models like the 1936 BMW R35, including a teardrop fuel tank, fishtail exhaust, and exposed spinning driveshaft.
Frame: Built around a double-cradle steel frame that gives the bike a heavy, low-slung, and imposing presence.

Technology and Safety:

Riding Modes: Includes three standard ride modes (Rain, Roll, and Rock) to adjust throttle response.
Rider Aids: Equipped with Automatic Stability Control (ASC), Dynamic Engine Brake Control (MSR), and BMW Motorrad Integral ABS.
Convenience Tech: Features Keyless Ride, electronic Cruise Control, Heated Grips, and an optional Reverse Assist for maneuvering the heavy chassis.
Lighting: Utilizes full-LED lighting with an available adaptive turning headlight that illuminates corners based on the bikes lean angle.
