Advanced Twin-Cylinder Engine
The MT-07 features the compact 689cc liquid-cooled, inline twin cylinder, DOHC CP2 engine with fuel injection. The fun and characterful CP2 engine provides both outstanding low- to mid-range torque and strong high-rpm pulling power. Fuel injection settings are optimized for seamless, linear throttle response characteristics, even when the throttle is slightly open at low rpm.
Full-Color Five-Inch TFT Display
A five-inch full-color TFT display provides a choice of two different screen modes. The Street mode is a more modern layout with a bar-type tachometer, digital speedo and gear selection readouts. The Touring mode features a more conventional circular analog-style tachometer on the right of the screen and digital speedometer on the left.
Yamaha Y-Connect Smartphone Connectivity
The MT-07 features Yamaha Motorcycle Connect (Y-Connect) smartphone connectivity which works in conjunction with the free-of-charge Y-Connect app (available for iOS and Android) to enable a direct connection between motorcycle and smartphone. Y-Connect capability for the MT-07 includes the ability to view incoming call, email and message notifications, along with time, phone battery level, connection status and weather information on the TFT display. Additional useful functions include monitoring and notifying the rider or other contact of motorcycle technical issues, and also the ability to track and record key motorcycle ride data within the app, including distance covered, fuel consumption, acceleration, top speed, lean angle and much more.
Compact Frame Design
The MT-07s high-strength steel frame provides an optimized balance of rigidity for nimble, agile handling. Using the engine as a stressed member of the chassis allows for a lighter, more compact main frame design, contributing to the bikes low wet weight of only 406 pounds.

The MT-07s aggressive look further enhances its distinctive appeal. Bold colors and graphics integrate with the minimalist stripped-back design and structural elements to emphasize pure Hyper Naked character. Compact Stacked Transmission
The six-speed transmission stacks the input/output shafts in a triangular layout. Keeping the overall engine size shorter from front-to-back, the placement in the frame is optimized for outstanding weight balance. The transmission ratios bring out the best of the low- to mid-speed torque with excellent response characteristics to reduce the need for frequent shifts.
Midship Exhaust System
By placing the muffler low in the frame and as close to the center of the machine as possible, the bikes mass is centralized for improved all around handling.
