New 2026 KTM 250SX-F

The 2026 KTM 250 SX-F is a 250cc four-stroke motocross bike that features a race-inspired chromoly steel frame with chassis and suspension updates. It is available at authorized KTM dealers as of September 2025.

Key specifications

• Engine: A lightweight 249.9 cm four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with a Keihin electronic fuel injection system. It is tilted two degrees backward in the frame for improved mass centralization.
• Frame: The central double-cradle frame is made from 25CrMo4 steel and features an aluminum-reinforced polyamide subframe. The frame has been updated with optimized flex characteristics around the engine mounts and rear shock to improve handling and chassis feel.
• Suspension: The bike uses a WP XACT air fork in the front and a WP XACT monoshock with linkage in the rear. Both are fully adjustable and feature new valving for 2026 to increase comfort.
• Electronics: The 250 SX-F comes with a multi-position map select switch that allows riders to toggle between two engine maps. It also has features like traction control, launch control, and a quickshifter that allows for clutchless upshifts from second to fifth gear.
• Connectivity: A Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) is available as a KTM PowerParts accessory. It mounts to the fork and allows riders to adjust engine mapping and view ride data via the KTMconnect app.

• Improved Serviceability: A new threaded radiator cap is designed to be easier and faster to open.
• Enhanced Durability: New fuel tank shrouds are made from a bi-compound plastic that improves air flow to the radiators. The compact fuel tank design also improves durability and contact points for the rider.
• Refined Exhaust: A new silencer has been added to improve engine response and slightly quiet the exhaust note.
• Brakes: The bike is equipped with high-tech Brembo brakes and lightweight wave discs.
