Engine and performance

• Engine: The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled, 293.2cc, two-stroke, single-cylinder engine. With an overall weight of just 52.6 pounds (23.9 kg), it offers a high power-to-weight ratio.
• Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI): Like other two-stroke SX models in the lineup, the 300 SX features Keihin electronic fuel injection with a 39mm throttle body. This setup automatically adjusts for altitude and eliminates the need for manual jetting.
• Electric Start: A 12.8V 2Ah lithium-ion battery provides a robust and reliable electric start system.
• Power Valve: An electronically controlled power valve ensures a more usable and smoother power delivery throughout the rev range, which translates to better traction.
• Selectable Maps: A map select switch allows riders to choose between two different engine maps.
• Map 1: Offers a more linear and predictable power delivery.
• Map 2: Provides a more aggressive power delivery for explosive output.

Chassis and suspension

• Frame: An updated hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded chromoly steel frame provides enhanced rider feedback, straight-line stability, and energy absorption. The frame also features an optimum wall thickness and renewed engine mounts.
• Subframe: The bike has a lightweight, polyamide-reinforced aluminum subframe.
• Suspension:
• Front: 48 mm WP XACT-USD AER fork with hand-adjustable clickers for compression and rebound.
• Rear: WP XACT monoshock with a linkage system and a hand-adjustable dual compression option for high- and low-speed settings.
• Tires: Dunlop Geomax MX34 tires provide excellent grip and stability.
• Serviceability: Tool-free suspension adjustments at both the front and rear make trackside tuning quick and simple.

Updates and additional features

• New Styling: The 2026 model has a fresh, very orange graphics package with blue accents on the fork guards and tank spoilers, which also help to channel air toward the radiators.
• Updated Wiring: The wiring harness has been re-routed and adjusted to improve durability and resist dirt intrusion.
• Protective Caps: A new threaded radiator cap is easier to access and a new cap protects the CPC fuel connector from damage and dirt.
