The 2026 KTM 85 SX 17/14 is an intermediate-level motocross bike for junior racers, designed to bridge the gap between mini-cycle and full-sized bikes. It features numerous updates, including a refined engine, new frame design, and adjustable WP suspension.

- Engine: The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled, 84.9cc, two-stroke single-cylinder engine. It weighs 120 grams less than the previous generation and is optimized for strong low-to-mid-range power delivery.
- Combustion chamber: A redesigned combustion chamber with a smaller spark plug provides more effective and efficient combustion, resulting in increased power and torque.
- Carburetion: Fuel is delivered through a 28mm Keihin PWK carburetor.
- Transmission: A lightweight 6-speed transmission is optimized to match the engines power characteristics and provides quick and precise shifting.
- Ignition: The Hidria CDI box provides a fast ignition process, smooth engine operation, and faster warm-up in colder weather.
- Radiators: High-performance Pankl radiators ensure optimal engine temperatures. For 2026, a new threaded radiator cap makes opening easier.
