The 2026 KTM SX-E 5 is an advanced electric mini-crosser designed for beginner and competitive junior racers. It is a high-performance alternative to a gas-powered 50cc bike, featuring a water-cooled electric motor, adjustable ergonomics, and high-end components.

Key specifications

• Engine: The water-cooled, permanent magnet motor provides 5 kW of peak power at 3,900 rpm. It is maintenance-free, dustproof, and waterproof.
• Battery: A lithium-ion KTM Power Pack provides 907 Wh of energy stored across 84 modern cells. For a beginner, a full charge can last over two hours, while a full-throttle race may last around 30 minutes. An integrated battery management system ensures safety and extends the batterys lifespan.
• Charging: The battery can be charged to 80% capacity in 45 minutes and to 100% in 70 minutes using a 900W charger.
• Ride modes: Six different ride modes can be selected via a display between the seat and steering head. A magnetic dongle under the seat allows parental control by locking the ride modes.
• Ergonomics: The bike is designed to grow with the rider.
• The fiberglass-reinforced plastic subframe allows for multiple mounting positions to adjust the seat height.
• Standard seat height can be adjusted from 634 682 mm (24.9 26.8 in), with an optional lowering kit available.
• The front fork height is also adjustable within the triple clamps.
• Chassis: The frame is a chrome-molybdenum steel central-tube design that offers a balance of rigidity and handling.

• Front: Fully adjustable WP XACT air fork with a 35mm tube diameter and 205mm of travel.
• Rear: Premium WP XACT mono shock that connects directly to the swingarm.
• Brakes: The bike is equipped with front and rear hydraulic disc brakes for easy and confident control.
• Wheels: It features lightweight black anodized aluminum rims, 12 inches in front and 10 inches in the rear, fitted with Maxxis MX-ST tires.
• Safety features: A rollover sensor automatically cuts power in the event of a fall.
